What can your group do for me?
The Santa Fe PD Action Group offers a welcoming community where you can find understanding, resources, and connection. Whether you’re navigating Parkinson’s yourself or supporting a loved one through it, you’re not alone.
By joining our group, you’ll have access to a wealth of knowledge and experiences shared by others who understand what you’re going through. From educational materials to emotional support, we aim to provide a supportive environment where you can feel empowered and encouraged.
There’s no cost to join; simply sign up for one or more of our mailing lists.
After joining, we encourage you to stay connected and engaged with the community. Attend our meetings, participate in discussions, and share your own insights and experiences. If you find the group helpful, we invite you to keep coming back, because your presence enriches our community and makes it stronger. You may also run into others affected by Parkinson’s; please invite them to join us in their journey.
It’s important to find the resources that best fit your unique needs and preferences.
Always consult with your physician for any health-related advice. Your doctor knows your medical history and can offer personalized recommendations tailored to your specific situation.
Then consider what other aspects of support are most important to you. Are you looking for educational materials, support groups, exercise programs, or something else entirely? By identifying your priorities you can narrow down your search and find resources that align with your goals.
It’s helpful to explore different resources and see what resonates with you. Attend support group meetings, browse online forums, and read books or articles about Parkinson’s Disease. Finding a community where you feel comfortable and supported can make a world of difference. Visit both the Resources page and the list of online communities. Each of the major Parkinson’s organizations provides extensive written materials as well.
Ultimately, the right resource for you is the one that provides accurate information, fosters connection and support, and empowers you to take control of your Parkinson’s journey. So, as you explore your options, research all online sources, remember to trust your instincts, and select the resources that feel most beneficial to you.
