The New Mexico Dental Association Foundation Foundation is currently working on a grant to develop a comprehensive statewide report, and recommendations aimed at addressing the oral health needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and other related barriers to care. The project’s recommendations aim to provide tangible goals to improve access to oral health services for this population. They hope to quantify areas of need and available resources with the hope of prioritizing resources and increasing available resources over time. Trish Rule and Leslie Favela of the New Mexico Dental Association Foundation will join us to talk about access to oral health providers in New Mexico. They are hoping to ask us about our experiences with dental care and Parkinson’s.
